How to track

Watch the split fill in

There’s no separate dashboard — the CheckPie itself is the live view. Open it and you see, in order:

• The people in the split along the top. Tap someone to switch to picking items for them, headed Tap [name] items.
• The receipt’s items as cards, with the avatars of whoever claimed each share.
• A banner counting what’s still open — [n] items left to claim — with Jump to unassigned to reach the first one.
• Services, Who paid, the debt summary, Your total, and who owes whom.

Everything moves as people tap. You never need to refresh or re-send the link.

Pick items for someone else

Tap a participant at the top and the screen switches to their view — the heading changes to Tap [name] items and every tap claims for them. Use it for someone at the table who isn’t going to open the link, or add them first with Add guest manually from the share button. Tap yourself again to switch back.

Check the receipt photos

The row under the items shows [n] bills attached. Open it to page through the photos and PDFs you scanned, so you can check a price against the paper without leaving the split. If the images haven’t finished uploading you’ll see No photos attached yet. The organiser can delete a receipt from here — Delete this receipt? warns that its items and everyone’s picks on them go with it, while the CheckPie itself stays. Any money recorded as paid towards that receipt goes too, so the remaining receipts still add up on their own.

Find an earlier CheckPie

CheckPies lists everything you’ve been part of, newest first, grouped by date. Each row shows the merchant, the total, the names of everyone in it, and Your part [amount]. In the apps you’ll find it under More. Narrow the list down when it gets long with a date range, a merchant filter, or free-text search. The web app adds one more: All checks, Mine, or Invited, by whether you started it or were invited. A CheckPie you started can be deleted from its row. That removes it for everyone who joined, along with their items, payments and receipt photos, and it can’t be undone — though any transactions you already synced stay in your books. In the web app, a CheckPie you were only invited to offers Remove yourself from this checkpie? in the same place; in the apps, leave it from inside the CheckPie instead.

See it in your books

Once you’ve synced a CheckPie, its row in the split shows [n] linked transactions. Tap it to open those transactions in finerd, filtered to this CheckPie. See How to create for the sync itself.
