# Overview

Checkpie turns a shared receipt into a fair split. The person who paid creates a Checkpie from a transaction or a receipt, shares a link, and everyone picks the items they ordered. Tax, tip, and other charges are spread across people in proportion to what they had, and whatever each person owes becomes a debt you can track and settle in finerd.

  Guests don't need a finerd account. Anyone with the link can join from their browser, pick their items, and see what they owe.

## Once it's shared

Run the split from both sides and close it out.
