# AI with a shared or family space

> What your AI assistant can and can't see when you share finances with a partner.

## One space at a time

Your assistant works inside the single space you connect. If you keep a personal space and a shared family space, tell it which one to use — for example, "use my family space" — and it stays there until you switch.

## What your AI sees in a shared space

* Accounts, transactions, and reports that belong to the connected space.
* Transactions your partner shared into the space — family transactions and joint accounts.

## What it doesn't see

* Your partner's private accounts and personal transactions.
* Anything in a space you didn't connect.

## Read & write in a shared space

With read & write access, your assistant can add or edit transactions in the connected space the same way you can in the app. It follows the same family-accounting rules — private transactions stay private.
