# Connect Finerd to ChatGPT

> Add Finerd to ChatGPT as a developer-mode MCP app.

> Add Finerd to ChatGPT as a developer-mode MCP app. The server URL is `https://api.finerd.ai/mcp`.

## Before you start

* A ChatGPT **Plus**, **Pro**, **Business**, or **Enterprise** plan — custom MCP apps require **developer mode**.
* Use **ChatGPT on the web** ([chatgpt.com](https://chatgpt.com)); custom apps can't be added in the mobile app.

## Turn on developer mode

1. Open **Settings → Security and login**.
2. Turn on **Developer mode**.

<Note>
  Labels vary by plan and interface version. If it isn't under **Security and login**, check **Settings → Apps → Advanced settings** or, on Business/Enterprise, **Workspace settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected data**.
</Note>

## Connect

1. Open **Settings → Plugins** (or go to [chatgpt.com/plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins)).
2. Click the **+** button and choose to create a developer-mode app.
3. **Name:** `Finerd`
4. **MCP server URL:** `https://api.finerd.ai/mcp`
5. Click **Create**, then sign in with your Finerd account and choose your access level — **Read-only** or **Read & Write**.
6. Open a new chat and click **+** next to the message box to enable the **Finerd** app for that chat.
